I got the Nittos this time. Discount Tire had them at $954 installed and that included taxes.

The cheapest F1s I could find (If I could find them at all) were about $125 more than the Nittos....

Any comments on the Quality of the tires I purchased or the price I paid?

 

Did you get the 555R's for the back or just the 555's all the way around. I have the 555R's out back and I like them. They hook good at the track. -Mat-

 

I got the 555s. I actually wasn't aware of the 555Rs until you mentioned them. I looked them up and saw that they are good for only 15,000 miles. I need more tread life than that. I wife would kill me if I had to buy new tires in 6 months.... he he he.

 

i've seen nitto 555s for about 200ish....

also have seen f1s for 160-170. i had to buy one because of a sidewall puncture and mark@lfp sold them for i think 169 + a few for shipping....

C&L also carries them but a couple of months ago when i needed one they were out of stock. dunno about now...

 

I don't have a wife! Too young. Haha. I frequent the dragstrip so I consider them an alright investment. I will upgrade to some slicks soon though. -Mat-
