Sounds like you got it twice!

You should have two keys and two remotes. If you want to add another key you will have to pay to have it added. If you had two keys you could just have it cut and you could program it with the directions in the owners man.

You should pressure to have another key programmed in financed by the seller if they can not produce another for the truck.

Not that dealer. They will charge you $400 for a set. LOL

You have to take the truck to the dealer to have a spare made (they will need the truck).

Definitely don't buy the stuff from the dealer. Maybe the key... but... an extra pad can be found on ebay for real cheap compared to dealer prices.

Does the dealer have any 30 day money back guarantee or anything>??? If they do give that truck back and shop around. Most of us on this board payed less then that for our trucks brand new. Don't they have laws for this kind of stuff>??? You could always give that one back and buy mine for $35,000. I would see if you can give it back man. -Mat-

be nice...

I lost one of the keys to my truck. I bought a new key for around $40 at the parts department. The parts guy said some early 99's (like mine) can be programmed with only one key. As it turns out that didnt work, but it was a slow day in the service dept so one of the service writers programmed the key for me, no charge. Took all of 10 minutes. Just be sure to ask nicely
