Welcome to the SVT Focus club! I've never had personalized plates until now. I ordered
HOCUSS
for the Focus. Hopefully, the plate will be approved.

I drove it for fun at Laguna Seca last month and it was a blast to drive! Funny thing is that on the drive down, three different ricer punks wanted to race me on the freeway. Too bad I didn't have a little sign to flash them "please follow me to the track if you want to race, you stupid punk idiot."

Both KB and Jackson racing in the final stages of blower kits for the SVT Focus (bolt-on SC kits are available for the plain jane focus engine). With this one bolt-on, the SVT Focus' power to weight ratio is equal to a Lightning with engine mods. There are a few SVT Focus' that have put on the Jackson supercharger and dynoed 246 HP, but the tune isn't optimized yet.
Here's one from SEMA:

I did a little research and noticed that the little bastards come with Forged Internals

Hmm, a blower on the focus.. How is the tune going to be handled? I could just probably chip it on the dyno.

Spike, didnt you get a Red one?

As far as I know, it uses the stock calibration and I don't think anybody has a chip yet for the SVT Focus. One company thought they could get a chip working but has had nothing but problems so they backed off on even providing any time line when they might have one available.

Yes, I got a red one and is shown in the photo above. It was even in Ruslow's Laguna Seca video!

It's a fun car to drive!

SCHWET! If you don't mind me asking...how much did you pick it up for? I would trade in my GT for something a little more economical since I already have a "guzzler".

Well knowing the 2003's were out, i went searching. I found a Sonic Blue one sitting on the backlot at this dealer. They said the blue just didnt sell. I was orignally looking for a black one, which they sold last saturday.

Like most of the time with salesman, you know its going to be a tooth and nail fight. They told me because its a 2002, they would give a $3000 rebate. Im like cool. We go in and start up the paperwork. The salesman comes back with $17K. Im like, i dont think so.. $3000 mines sticker of $18K doesnt = $17K.. I told them, dont waste my time, grabbed my keys and walked out. As i was getting into the Lightning the sales manager asks to talk with me. He told me what will it take to do the deal. I said $15K, its a 2002 and you have lost your *** on the car as is. So he said done deal and i wrote them a check. I got it with tax and lic out the door for $17,900 cash.

I ordered the European HID kit which gives the focus true projector hid's, highbeams, turn signals and city lights in one assembly for a whole $400 shipped!

Spike
Diablo has a way to chip it already. I talked to my tuner and he said he has done a couple.

How does it feel on the track? Would you make any mods to the suspension at all? What did you do with the Lightning?
