stainless or coated headers?

How about it? JDM is waiting on the coated one's but has stainless in stock. Is there really that much of a difference? I like the look of stainless (even though you can't see them very well on the L).

Thanks,
Jerry

I got the last jet coated

The reason I went with the jet coat is my thinking the coating holds the heat in the tubes so the engine compartment says "cooler". Don't really know if thats true, but thats why I went with them.

But we all KNOW the Lightnings like cooler air

Take the stainless. They may look as pretty after they have been run but they will out last the truck.

Stainless for sure. Stainless is very good at retaining heat, almost as good as the coated, and will outlast the coated.

Thanks Sal. I was hoping you would chime in. I didn't have the ***** to call and ask you about something I was getting from another vendor. Just so everyone knows...if Sal sold these headers I would have bought them from him! Hopefully this transaction will turn out ok.

Cool

HI!... I have the stainless steel JDM/KOOKS long tube headers and had them CERAMIC coated inside and out before installing them. Turned out good.

I went with the coated to keep temps down.

I figured I won't be keeping the truck forever, so the jet coated will last long enough.

maybe the ceramic is different than jethot, but I have been told by several people that you can't coat stainless?

Jethot the stainless. Not only will it look awesome, it will last a lifetime and keep your motor cooler.

Don't tell that to DL he has a set of JDM headers which he sent to be coated.

Oh, sorry David, I meant Kook's headers. Keith, said he has that superchip for you. Do you want him to ship it or what?
