not starting, i just got it to start again, this is what i have to do, now you pro's tell me what i tell the dealer when i take it there in about 1/2 hr or so.

it's turning but not starting, i try everything to get it to start, but this is what gets it to start:

i put it in neutral, push it about 6-8ft with my car, then i put the truck in Park and then it starts right up.......... now what the hell is the problem??? it's like i have to move it before it will start? please help...

I am no pro, and this is just a stab in the dark, but maybe the fuel reset switch is going bad...It is a safety switch put in so if the truck is in a serious accident, it will shut off the fuel. I don't know where it is located on the L, but I had a similar problem in my mustang, and it was in the trunk...When I changed it, I never had the starting problem again..Check the manual..

I don't know the answer But I don't think pushing it has anything to do with it. Maybe if you try slamming it into park harder next time it does it that might tell you if it's the neutral switch or not
just a thought

i second the neutral safety switch from what your
saying, also im no ford expert but i had problems
with gm trucks, similiar to yours with the rolling the truck
a few feet and that was because of a broken tooth on the flywheel .

It cant spin over if it was a shifter/nuetral switch problem.

You need to drop it off at the dealership and let them catch it not starting. That might be the only way to resolve it.

If it was a problem with the MLPS the truck wouldn't turn over. -Mat-
