right lakewood bars

Can someone confirm that these are the right lakewoods for a 99 L. When I search the forums I see some people ordered two different part numbers.

Is it these?

If not can I have the right part number.

21715 is the right number, mounting is different on Ford Lightning due to all the different exhaust combinations around. Mount them as far forward as possible without hitting the exhaust, trim the snubbers for clearence.

After you get them you'll want to upgrade the hardware to Grade 8 for safety.Still a good deal for the daily-driver.

I have the Lakewood's on my truck. Easy to install and I am happy with the results. I added lock washers and switched to course thread on the bolts besides going to grade 8.

ok thanks guys

I saw an earlier post that talked about switching the bolts to grade 8 instead of 5. Im wondering why they don't bother doing when they make these. Are the grade 5 ones that weak?

Grade 5 will work, and probably never break. I changed mine primarily because it takes forever to tighten up fine thread. Grade 8 is just added security and the cost increase is minimal.
