Closed and Open Loop?

Whats the difference? Open loop is @ wot and uses set perameters and closed loop is when crusing and takes in data from th 02 sensors to adjust fuel right?

this is joe's friend

i thought at WOT it would still be in closed loop. just that it now uses set parameters for fuel. when the engine is first started and cold the computer will be in closed loop. once the engine warms up the computer switchs to closed loop and stays till it is cold again.

Nope,

Closed loop is what he said in the first post. In closed loop, the computer is using the part throttle fuel trim and input from the 02 sensors, tps, maf, etc. WOT comes into play based on load via the TPS voltage and I believe the MAF voltage. Under WOT the fuel and timing curves are preset and based on engine load.

Sal, correct me if I am wrong, hehe
