Help! JLP S/C Pulley Puller ???
Just used JLP's puller to get my S/C pulley off my Cobra. Worked great. Now how do you put the pulley back on with it??? My Cobra is defanged
The puller just removes the pulley, you need to use the long bolt and washer to press the new pulley on.put a some oil, soap&water, neversieze, ect. on the shaft and start tightening the bolt which willpush the new pulley back on...if you need anymore help gives us a call.......JL
OFF

ON

To put it on,
Basically the long 5/8 shaft with the 8mm pilot bolt in the end is screwed into the S/C shaft. Then the Pulley (or Hub) the Bar Stock, a washer and hex nut, then at the end another hex nut.
You must hold the end Hex Nut "AND NOT ALLOW THE 5/8 SHAFT TO TURN". Then turn the other Hex Nut that is pushing the Bar Stock against the new Pulley or Hub and up onto the SuperCharger Shaft.

Man that looks like a nice tuff puller tool
Ok I'd say if they gave you an extra hex nut to fit that shaft
you'd then do the same thing I described on mine but use the
flat surface side of that tool to push it on.
Is there a small 8mm threaded pilot that screws in the end ???
Something must screw into the upper S/C shaft so you can then turn it in, hold back the head at the end of that long bolt, and turn another hex nut pushing the flat surface against the Pulley and up on to the shaft.
if none of this makes sense then the tool is used differant than mine and you should call Johnny

It looks like if I remove the bolt and get some 8mm bolts I may be able to draw it on with them. Someone mentioned on the NLOC board about some allen bolts doing the same thing but those didn't come with it...off to Home Cheepo to find some I guess. Thanks for the help.

4D I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THAT
The 8mm bolt is a pilot bolt only that should be attached to the front of the long 5/8 shaft they gave you with the Tool. When this is screwed into the S/C Shaft. IT IS EXTREMLY IMPORTANT the long 5/8 bolt or rod DOES NOT TURN. If it turns it will snap the 8mm pilot off in the S/C shaft (mine did, thank god it came out by hand) The 8mm pilot screwed into the shaft which is attached to the 5/8 bolt is only there to hold and center everything while you simply turn a seperate 5/8 hex nut pushing against "SOMETHING" pushing the pulley on
If you try pushing it on with a 8mm bolt,
I fear it will snap off in the S/C shaft

Found a 4" long hardened 8mm bolt and threaded it in full depth and used a nut and washer to push it on like your photos demonstrated. Thanks again for everybodys help.

Can't get a grip now as it is!
