Boost bypass or rev limiter

Tell me which one this is... It was about 37 degrees the other day... turned onto a street and nailed it... (I love cold air)... broke loose and really rev'd it... until the big drop off.

Is this due to the boost bypass while the boost was trying to catch up again or did I hit the rev limiter?

Well.. I put the bypass on and I have a chip... this is what puzzles me...

Why did it loose it just when it was getting interesting

did you bend the metal bracket out of the way, so it doesn't touch the chip when its pluged-in?

also did you use duct-tape to secure the chip to the computer?

You are gonna find this odd... but my dealer installed it. In fact... he recommended it.

So I can't tell you if they took those precautions or not. However, they way it was pulling... I doubt if the chip was they problem. The difference between chip or no chip is painfully obvious.

Any other thoughts?

Keep in mind... when I say loose it... I mean the boost dumped and it had to recover then go again...

Amen to that... I read that thread before. It is a wake up slap in the face.

When I did this... it was on a vacant road in a newly built neigborhood.

The area I live in is a highly populated area and I really get ticked when I see people swerving in andf out of traffic on the interstate and dumb racing. Not that any of it isn't.

That said... I do like to get on it or I would have bought something different.
