Question '03 stock rim question

I am sooo pissed off. Some a-hole in a parking lot clipped me while I was in the store. Luckily, the truck itself is fine. Do damage at all, but the left front rim has some big scratches. I don't know how that could happen (hitting the rim and not the truck ) but whatever. My question is this: how much does a new rim cost when ordered from Ford? The damage isn't very noticeable, but I still know its there and would like to get rid of it if a new rim isn't too much $$$. Thanks in advance

retail for 400.00 plus mounting, etc.

If it is scratched, it may be bent as well.

If you have to replace it and need the center logo redone, I will be a sport and donate it for you if you can't find one.

Vaporlock- I appreciate the offer but I am just going to ignore the scrathces for a while. I'd rather spend $$$ on mods. Thanks anyways though.

So long as the rim isn't bent, you can blend the gouges with a dremel rotary tool followed by block sanding with progressively finer paper. Any deeper damage can be filled with alumalead or similar aluminum specific filler. Refinish the rim being sure to use alumaprep or similar product on any bare aluminum before priming with an aluminum specific primer. Any fine sand scratches can be filled with a good primer surfacer after the primer has cured and wet sanded out with 600 grit 3M wet-or-dry paper before repaint.

Just be sure the structural integrity of the rim hasn't been compromised by the hit.

My buddy at a local dealer showed me the dealer cost on
an 03 rim.....
$199.

He was going to sell me them for $220 each.

...but I want chrome!!!!

Maybe if you go to the dealer that you bought it from
they could hook you up.

At $220 they are still makin $20???

Goodluck.
