I have pegged my speedo tons of times..... WITH A 6LBER ON!!

I have noticed alot of blown motors when people are goign along and punch it at like 70 or so making is downshift into 2nd, the makes a HELLOFA load on the timing chains.....

I try to start hard and stay into it until im done....

You're either missing a decimal, or you have the
hottest Lightning in the entire free world ... <grin>

This is an interesting thread. How much does the
pulley and mods contrubute to the blown engines?
In other words, if I beat on a stock truck, would it throw
a rod just as soon as the boosted one at 145?

I have changed my driving habits on the interstate when i want to drive fast 100 to 140mph i keep the boost guage at 6 to 8 pounds with the gas pedal that way your not putting anymore load on engine than with a stock pulley.

Couldn't have said it better myself ICULOKN

And your right KY, I'm sorry, make that 5.8K

And to answer your question, Yes I believe a stock one will blow just as easy IF IT'S TIME HAS COME, we know of just as many stock ones blowing as moded ones. In most stock cases they were simply cruzing along at hwy speed minding there own business when it went BOOM
