Bolt on ground help

I found a bolt on the ground this morning under the truck, anyone else have this happen to them, my dad heard a thunking noise once while he was driving too. Please help thank you, its a pretty big bolt.

My dad now thinks its from the crankshaft pully, how many bolts should be holding that anyone know?

Unless you have a picture of it, thats not much help. But I guess you should get underneath and look around. Cant say that anyone else has had anything like this happen.....that I know of

Damn, I hope none of those Dodge Guys see this post. Good luck Dman; and let us know what you find. Sounds like a previous mechanic may have not tightened something up, possibly Trans. parts.

that is a pretty odd problem but could turn pretty serious if you dont do anything about it. If I were you and I still had my warranty I would bring it ino the dealership and have them check over everything.

not to mention its quite odd for a bolt to fall out in the driveway, while the truck isnt even moving.

Check the cross member at the rear of the trans, I have a feeling it might be the trans rear bolts that fell off.

ok i just checked those, they are in place, but , does the belt that run to the supercharger move a little for u, like can u turn it at all or is it very tight, cause i can turn it with my hand, and i think it might be something from that altough i have checked every bolt i could see.

They came out of the crankshaft? Did you install a pulley by any chance? How many miles are on it and list your mods.

All three of my supercharger pulley bolts came loose last month.
Lost two of then. The third one was out but rattling between the addapter and the pulley. I could turn the supercharger by hand! My truck is stock, 12k miles. The dealer replaced the whole assembly under warranty. Other people have reported this happening also.
