Lost two of then. The third one was out but rattling between the addapter and the pulley. I could turn the supercharger by hand! My truck is stock, 12k miles. The dealer replaced the hole assembly under warranty. Other people have reported this happening also.
nice first post.

Anyone else have this problem with the crankshaft pully bolts coming out? if so what did it take to fix it, like new pullys or just put the bolts back in place again? and how long did it take the dealer to fix it, thanks.

My truck was at the dealer for 4 days waiting of parts.
Both pulleys were damaged and replaced. I was also having the rear window seal replaced at the same time. When I called on the fourth day to get a completion time, the service manager said the pulleys would be finish that afternoon. He then went on to say that they could do "performance modifications" to the f150's, like adding a supercharger.... I said, 'I'll be in to pick up my truck at 5 o'clock. Don't worry about the rear window seal!!!"

This was a very common problem, all the 99s and 00s had/have this problem. That is why Ford did away with that design (the bolt on pulley adapter) for 01 and up and cast it as part of the balancer.

man this is too scary

And now that you mention it, I found a big bolt under mine when I did the oil change just laying there. But is was bigger, longer, and silver ????? Had that frame black crap all over it too.
I looked and looked and never found where it came from ??
one things for sure, as soon as the weather breaks, I'm going under the front and checking all my pulley and balancing bolts .

Earlier in this thread, some one named Dons Bolt posted a picture of where he thought my bolt fell out of, u describe yours as silver and bigger, well, go to the first page of this thread and see if it might be from the transmision mount on the cross member.

Ok i got it back from the dealer, they just put the bolts back in place, no damage was done to the pullys apperently.
