Bling in Atlanta
Bling in Atlanta
Honest, honest, I kid you not:
Driving home tonight on Barrett Parkway I saw a black Lightning (01/02 I think) that had what looked like 20/22 wire wheels.
Any other Atlanta area Lightning or other FMC based trucks know who might belong to this one?
Bill. PS: Looked not bad at all.

Think "Cruise" Barrett
Hey Snake, you are correct, Barrett is not a speedway although it is not so bad on the stretch where my HobbyTown is which is by the Chev store.
In good weather (April-Oct or so) it is a good cruising venue and I have sponsored a Cruise Night the last three years together with the Tri Chevy Club that takes place the first Saturday of every month. We usually get from 100 to 300 cars that show up.
Unfortunately, well sort of, the center is putting in three new anchor stores this spring so that will have to end. Will give me lots more business though
Most of the cruisers nowadays are Ricers which is OK I guess.
I remember when I was coming up in the middle late fifties and drove a '51 Merc and wanted to cruise Fallbrook Blvd. (Fallbrook Ca) and all the guys with their 30's and 40's rods looked down on me. Change is inevitable and not always bad, right?

Hey Bill,
Havn't seen any post from you lately. Just thought I would say hello. I ended up coming to back up to Marrietta a couple of days after I talked to you in December and bought those two white lightning diecast you had. I took off all the stickers. I gave one to my dad for christmas and kept the other for myself. He was so proud of it that he took it to work for his desk. I will probably be coming through later this week, so I may stop in and say hello.
