Projected value

Any thoughts on what our low mileage Gen 2's might be worth in 2005 or 6. Considering they do not make an 04 and the 05 ends up being in the $50,000 range, I'm thinking they could be in the low $30's. Or am I just dreaming again? I also think the 05 will be a very limited addition since the dealers are struggling to sell current models at $32,000.

I think you're dreaming. Of course I'm no expert. With 1999's selling for under $20K and more like $15K, I think that most Gen II's in general will be under $20K in a few years when the Gen III's come out.

I dont think their will be over 2000 Gen 3's a year built. Of the 25,000 or so Gen 2 owners, how many can afford a $50,000 truck? I'm thinking maybe 25%.

I said around $15K

I saw one the other day in IL. I think it was advertised in us.trader.com

Check out what some of the other threads have said about values and what they got as trades...

$15,000 is the trade in value. Their going to turn around and sell it for $21,00. I can't figure out why we don't trust Dealers!!

I would bet that the next L will be listed under 40k. The wild 500hp GT motor won't be in it. Something more like the 425hp 3-valve 5.4L that CarCraft wrote about is more realistic.
