Hello, I was checking out all the sweet pics of Lightnings in the Show Pics of your L thread and noticed your truck. Is that a IAFF decal on your windshield? Brother? If so, what local and where you from, which dept.? I have some buddys that are out there. Also, with the dash laser, looks as though you have the fastest response unit out there......so much for my Interceptor Crown Vic.
Take care, and stay safe out there! Shoot me an e-mail: rwvmedic422@hotmail.com

Cool - glad to know there are more of us on this board. I work for a volunteer township department here locally - Erhart Fire and Rescue out of Medina, OH. For now, I am a firefighter, and am finishing up EMT classes as we speak. I needed something to do aside from engineering.
The sticker on my windshield is just an identification label for the state - shows that I am a registered emergency vehicle. Wish I had an IAFF decal though. It's fun having the Lightning as an emergency vehicle... can always make it to the station in a reasonable amount of time.
Here is a shot with the dash light in my last truck...
That light has been transfered to the new one, and works very well. I toyed with how to mount lights on this thing for a long time.

pgh_medic - I was just cruising around the internet in search of a small utility vehicle that can be used for firefighting / EMS operations... like the Cub Cadet Big Country. I found your crash truck over at NewLex-Fire.com and was curious how they were to deal with?
Good people they are! A pleasure to deal with! They are located near Pittsburgh, maybe an hour drive or so. Actually they are very close to Shanksville, where one of the jetliners went down on 9-11. They built Shanksvilles engine, nice piece. Anyways, getting off topic, since we are so close we took WEEKLY trips during the entire build process to 'check up' on our $300,000 baby and they were GREAT! I am sure that was a major pain having us up there so often looking over their shoulders, but they are friendly and customer service oriented. There is ALOT of custom work on that piece, they fabricate alot of what they do, very cool stuff. I am sure they could build up something sweet for your dept. Heck, they let us run that machines quite a bit as well! We made alot of the parts on the truck, very trusting guys! So, yes i recommend them, great people. If you contact them, tell them the 'boys' from Ross/West View EMS recommended ya! I hope this helps with your decision! Lemme know what happens. If you need any more specifics, e-mail me: rwvmedic422@hotmail.com Take care brother!
