Question about batteries...
I know a lot of you guys are running some pretty nice stereo equipment in your trucks, multiple amps and subwoofers and tv's and such. What battery do you guys reccomend, I was at the store the other day and saw the optima yellow top deep cycle and the red top, the red top wasn't deep cycle but it had more cold cranking amps and cranking amps. My stereo right now is pretty ridiculous (check sig), and I am postive that its draining the system pretty bad, so I need to upgrade this battery. What are you guys running and what do you recommend? Thanks.

1) Alternator to "+" on battery
2) "-" on battery to chassis
3) chassis to engine block
to at least 4awg.

Remember the battery only comes into play when the engine is off. You aren't draining the battery running your system at full blast with the engine running. I see you have a cap, do you still have any dimming problems with the bass up?
If you are replacing the factory battery, I believe the red top is appropriate. If you are adding additional batteries, check out the yellow.

I'm not cutting into my baby. Actually, I am pretty sure the system is even draining while I am driving, in my old tahoe I was driving with all the same stuff on, and after almost 8 months the car died while I was driving it, it acutlaly killed the alternator and the battery. And, no, the lights don't dim while I drive, thats why I bought the cap, saved me some embarassment, looked likes strobes before. I am still undecided, I often just sit at school with the car running playing playstation with my buddy's and someitmes this can go on for over an hour, as well as leaving the tv and stuff on during shows, so I have had a lot of people tell me deep cycle is best for this. Damn decisions, the red top is only $30 less. Any other opinions or options on this battery issue would be great, thanks.
