cd changer skips

i spent 400 dollars on a cd changer and it skips because of the bass and my screen doesnt have a cd player in it but the dvd player will play cds but not burned ones.

On my Alpine 6-disc changer, there are position tabs. Check to see if they are set to "vertical" or "horizontal" depending on how you have yours mounted.
