Question Radar Detectors

Which radar detectors are the best out there? Which do you prefer? Where can I find it? I would like something that is mounted permanetly, like a model Bel sells, or k40,,, but if there is something portable that is better or more cost effective that would be nice to know also. What features would I need, I do a lot of interstate traveling and country back roads in small towns.

The Bel 985 is almost identical in every aspect to the Escort 8500 in performance. Both edge out the Valentine by most tests Ive read.
I own the Bel and the Escort both.Ive run both in my truck at the same time and I see no real difference between the 2 in performance.
The Bel can be found on the internet for much less than the Escort or V1.

I've had a Valentine for about 4 months. People can argue about which brand has the best performance (V1 is never far from the top), but after experiencing the bogie vectors, I wouldn't be happy with anything else.

Its a toss up between the V1 and the Escort 8500. I have the 8500 and love it. Saved me from countless tickets so far. It has gotten me one cause I was ****y. Decent tradeoff as far as I'm concerned.

Thumbs up Valentine One

The only thing I love more than my "Factory Tech Valve Body" is my Valentine One!! Hands down the best. Keep in mind that everytime technology is developed to make a better radar detector the radar detector manufactorers do just that. Valentine One is the only detector that I know of that allows you to upgrade to the "Better Technology" without having to buy a whole new detector. Just like they say "Its the last radar detector you'll ever buy". Check it out at www.valentine1.com

V1, the only one with threat direction arrows, best situational awareness booster going. I have hard wiring in all my rides, no messy cord. Don't leave home without it

Valentine 1 - Had it for 8 months and it has never let me down. Hard wired in my Harley. One of my best investments.
