Installed the Plasma Booster and Accu-Fab

Ok so maybe I froze my *** of since it was in the 20's all day but I had to do it, it was killing me just sitting there.

Step one
Cut plastic around wires to clear enough room to put this connector on

Step 2
Use a needle nose plyers and squeeze it together and make the connection

Step 3
Connect the wire coming from the Plasma Booster (each cylinder)

Step 4
Find a good ground, this one was good enough for Ford, so it’ll do just fine.

Step 5
Attach the box somewhere (GOOD LUCK) I’ll do that tomorrow

Lights will all be on when motors running, LIKE THAT

As for the Accu-Fab, that took all of 5 to 10 minutes
I had the usual oil because I took off all my oil Mod’s, I figure a little oil can’t hurt

Was actually very clean and very smooth inside the manifold

It’s not pretty, but that 4” hose forces in a lot of air directly to the Filter

Back together and running just fine

Rob: Click on this link and see how I mounted mine:

https://www.f150online.com/galleries...7030&anum=3208

Please ignore the dirty eng. bay . I took a long(12"?) nylon tie and and formed a 90 degree bend about 3 or 4" from its tip, fed the tip into one of the hole, used a steel hook to pull the tip out of the other hole, and zip-locked it to the wire loom cover.

Hey Dana,
It's the newest thing out. Write ups are great, and the Dyno results of 3 I've seen so far all show a nice HP and Torque Gain.
Here Read this post
http://www.nloc.info/forum/showthrea...ghlight=plasma

I will add it's a Mother ****er to get the Passenger side back two coil wires. And I really have a problem with the fact that this is clearly something you can't hide from Ford. Sure you can rip it off in minutes, but they will see the plastic's been cut and those connecters are clearly cutting throught the wire underneath it, so I would never want to attempt to take them off. I've seen 3 great dyno results on it, so I'm happy knowing it's been proven on all the L's that dyno'd. Nice product, I would highly reccomend it. GREAT BANG FOR THE BUCK.

My only complaint would be, I would love to see a differant way of connecting the wires. You can see those connectors dam near cut the coil wire in half when it was crimped. Can't even imagine in my worse dream what it would be like to change those wires.

Thanks Lightnin Rod, I saw those holes but mine seems closer together ??? Also mine has a black wire harness running right there (in the way) wraped in the plastic snake stuff, I don't see that on yours ???

thanks V,

Hope you enjoyed Hooters while I was freezing my a$$ off

O.K. For you guys that actually have the plasma booster installed, did you notice any real gains in power? Since JJ sells these, I would expect him to be a little biased towards them. Are they worth the money. I can't see a lot of inprovement in this area with the coil on plug setup that we have on our trucks. Thanks in advance.

I only drove it two blocks to pick up Chinese food with the kid in the car. It's in the 20's out there so I couldn't kill it, the guage never even moved. I did feel a differance but remember I did 2 mods at the same time. I have seen JJ's, and other Dyno's. They all clearly showed HP and Torque gains usually around 13 HP and 11 Torque. I've also read a few nice articles on it "other places" (not from the Tuners or Sellers). One article claimed
1-1/2 tenths better 1/4 ??? MSD has always been a good thing in my book. 4 sparks instead of 1 means a better burn, more power, better idle, and of course Power. May even help gas milage ?Tomorrow I'll be driving it a while, I'll post back on it.

I still don't like chopping into all my coil wires though This is gonna make doing the plugs even harder (if you can imagine it being harder) The connectors are going be a bitch to work around finding the release, the wires are thin and fragile so you got to watch them "or unplug them all", then of course put it back together, which is never as easy. But I believe in the Booster and expect good returns. PLUS THE LIGHTS LOOK SOOOO COOL.

As Rob said, "3 dyno pulls........", etc.

I am dynoing mine tomorrow. The first pull will be with the PB. I will disconnect the ground wire(which takes the PB out of the firing cycle) and run a second pull. I'll post my results tomorrow night.
