doing some installs on my dad's 00 L today. Crawl underneath to strap the converter. Go to take the shield off, only problem, there isn't one!!!! No bolts, no shield, and the plug in the bottom of the housing is gone too!!!!

So, get the old pulley off (WOW what a bitch, 10 x harder than my truck)......go to check the 3 harmonic balancer bolts.......there arent any!!! This set up looked different then my truck. There was the pulley with the threaded hub in the middle, but that's it. Mine looked just like in the JDM instructions when i did it.

Now , he motor was swapped with low miles. It's an 5/01 built motor. Did they change something?????

 

the 01 pulley flange changed..NO bolts
They should still have a converter cover...
