Question ECU, OBD II, and A/F ratio

Do you happen to know how many times a second computer reads out voltage from O2 sensor and adjusts A/F ratio based on that?

Also, do you happen to know how many times a second we can read out values from OBD II port?

Thanks in advance!

If you havent purchased a real time diagnostic tool, i think now is the time to do so. $300-$350

Autotap or Ease diagnostic are the preferred choices.

It will tell you everything you need to know.

I know, thats why I am asking. I need to know can OBD II laptop based tool grab data through that port and log it as fast as ECU reads out O2 sensor values. So I need to know refresh interval of both. I noticed you do use those tools. Do you know answer to my question?

Thanks!

I have to make sure it is fast enough (as fast as readouts of values I am interested in) or otherwise I am not getting right information and in that case purchase of it could wait.

Thanks!

I doubt the autotap is even going to come close to that, and thats supposed to be one of the best programs out there for our trucks.

Now that I think about that I should call manufacturer and ask. Still, if anyone knows answer is welcome.

Thanks!
