Question Maintenance of Super Charger

My truck has turned over 16000 miles, and I was wondering if there is something that I am supposed to be doing to the super charger to keep it maintained. Could not find anything in the owners manual, but I figure I should be doing something, like changing or adding fluid to it. Just wondering.

Thanx,
Bill

I saw nothing about it in the supplement guide either.
I guess it could not hurt.
Something to look into.

I emailed the manufacturer to get an answer on the oil change recommendation. You can check out their site here:

Other good info on durability here, read #8:

Well I think the only maintenance *we* can do is change the fluid at X intervals. I think I remember reading it may have been every 30k miles

Other then that, if you want you can the pull the blower out and apart to clean the rotors and the intercooler from any oil that may have gotten in through the intake.

What you heard is 100% acurate....believe me when i say...they suck bad and are tottaly unprofesional.

If anyone needs there m112 rebuilt or just has it done for prevenitive maintenence as i did.......find someone besides Magnuson to do the job........period.

Search the net for m-90 rebuilders and you will find that most will also rebuild m112's.
You can get in touch with Reality1 on the NLOC board and get info on the company that worked on his....this guy not only rebuilds m112's but does porting ect and was supposed to have rebuilt, ported m112's available soon with no down time.

I also have talked to a company in Missouri that rebuilt them and did porting, titanium shafts ect.... i beleive the company was ESM.

A local company to me zzperformance.com has an 11 second gpt and will rebuild/port your m112.

Danny Swanson was telling me about an outfit out of texas that rebuids and or ports m112's last year.

I would go with the company that did jim [reality1's] truck as he got the bonus of proven performance out of the deal.

I will not get into the trouble of others with thunderbirds or GTP'S with m 90's that have had problems with Magnuson...but lets just say,i have talked to a few.

Last spring after getting my motor and tranny rebuilt,i decided to get my m112 rebuilt as well for prevenitive maintence with 29k on the truck and a long waiting period for a bigger aftermarket blower.

I sent my blower to Magnuson and had them competely rebuild it for 666.00 which is ironic as the blower lasted 20 miles and went to he*l.

The blower made a racket from the minute it was installed on my newly built motor and after a 20 mile motor break in trip, the blower oil was all over my newly rebuilt motor and engine bay.

This all happened without ever getting in the boost once and the original non rebuilt eaton never made any racket after 29k miles, including 8k with a 4# lower and a 2# upper, not to mention over two hundred passes at the strip.

So i call Magnuson[JP] and tell him what happened and he basically said...it can't be on are end...you must have dropped the blower on the ground before install

So anyway, i send them the snout back and clean all the oil off the motor/bay.
They inspect the snout and decide there is no evidence of the blower being dropped, rebuild the snout and send it back..without an apoligy for the rediculous accusations.

I reinstall the snout only to find that the racket is still there and at this point i am pis*ed off and leave it on and it lasted for 5k.

So i call up JP again and he tells me to send him my snout again and that they will reimberse me for shipping.
I send them the snout again and wait for a week or so and hear nothing.
I call JP and he asks me why i sent him the snout ...this after talking to him a week earlier and him telling me to send it.
At this point,i fellt as though i am in a bad episode of the twilight zone when he informs me that my rebuild no longer has a warranty because of the billet 2# upper that Magnuson installed during the original rebuild.

Now i asked JP if they were willing to install the aftermarket upper hub, during are original conversation and he said no problem....never mentioning a thing about not getting a warranty because of it, and he waits till after telling me to ship them my snout a third time,to tell me this, and then informs me that to rebuild my snout,it will be 175.00 +shipping, knowing that i have had a problem with the blower ever since the original rebuild, and that is has nothing to do with the upper pulley hub that they installed.....say what.

I told him...b.s. and this was the first time i was ever less than pleasent during all of are conversations.

He then informed me that if i wanted my polished blower snout back, that it would be 40.00 dollars more for retun shipping.

They still have the snout and i have been told that my blower has defective or improperly installed rotar pack bearings, and that this was the problem from the start

I have an svt certified tech that installed the motor in my truck as after 4 months waiting for my motor...i had no time to reinstall it myself.
The first words out of his mouth when i picked up my truck.... greg your blower is f*cked up,so you better send it back.

Flying ****,this has been posted before, and like i said Magnuson is unproffesional, rude and in this case... wrong.

I won't even get into all the lies i was told during are conversations, but the worst was that they never rebuilt an m112 before mine.
