just disconnect the connector under the seat.

Two very small wires in at a thin connector.

Seat belt light will never turn on again and you won't get that annoying chime.

Does anyone read the posts before throwing in they're 2 cents worth?

Maybe we could install a special muffler for the chime too. Kind of expensive, but what the hey, it beats reading that darned book.

In my 2000 L there was something called speed sensitive volume on the radio. As you speed up the volume goes up and as you slow down the volume would go down. Obviously ford saved another 3 cents by not including this. But you got to give it to them. These trucks are great!!!

My first thought when I read this was "Holy Sheot, by the time I hit 130mph, there would be nothing left of my ear drums.

Hey, maybe would could run a hot wire from the speedo to the amplifier and increase voltage to the.....ahhh never mind.

I can live without it...I like to hear the whhhiiiiiiiiine of my blower anyway.

My first night with the L, I must have ran out to the garage about fifty times.....I think I'll sleep out there tonight and keep her company.

Thanks for the info,

Rocks

At the risk of being called an old fart or a grandmother ....

Why would you NOT use a seat belt in one of the quickest and fastest vehicles on the planet ?

I wont even mention how the youngsters that drive like idiots and dont wear a seatbelt drive my insurance rates up ....

AHHH, the voice of reason. You are correct...not to mention the 200 dollar ticket it costs around this area.

I buckle my seat belt after I get backed out of the driveway, that way if a disgruntled ex-employee tries to cap me I can get to my Glock faster. Once I am rolling the risk of sneak attack goes down....You did ask why.

Good point Doug

Very good point. You should always wear your seat belt. But, if for some reason you don';t want to couldn't ford have put in a less anoying way to remind you.
