OK NEED 03 Help! W/ new "feature"

Two questions.

1. HOW in the world do you stop that seat belt bell from going off every ten seconds other than just buckling up? Is there a bypass or a way around that?

2. Does the 03 have the speed sensitive volume on the radio? If so how do you activate it? I tried doing it the same way as the 2000 I had but it does not seem to work.

Thanks for the help. STILL LOVING THE BLACK BOLT!!!!

It's in the owners manual. I'll warn ya, your gonna feel stupid sitting in your truck buckleing and unbuckleing your seat belt while turning the key on and off. But it's worth it.

I have no idea about L's (Im still waiting on mine, should be next week) but on some other Ford trucks if you push in the "button" that release the belt it stops the bell. But you have to do it every time you start it up. Dont know if that helps or not.

Thanks Rocks

I knew someone was going to tell me to read the manual. Just haven't had a chance to. Heck I already fell stupid buckling and unbuckling it just to get it to stop. It scared me to death the first time it went off today. Thought something was wrong. Started going down road and ding ding ding ding ding. I will be sure to check it out. Thanks again.

Rocks?

Any idea on the speed sensitive volume? Have you been able to get yours to work?

For the seatbelt just push in the red release button and the warning will stop. you don't even need to buckle the belt. As for the radio I got rid of that already.

No problem cdees......it actually gives you another excuse to play with the truck .

That darned chime made me crazy from the first time I heard it.

Check out page 108.

Apparently, nobody reads the darned instructions...LOL. There is a procedure you can follow on page 108 that will turn it off for good. No pushing the red button required.

There is also a way to deactivate auto locks by using the key pad. That's in the same book...LOL.

just disconnect the connector under the seat.

Two very small wires in at a thin connector.

Seat belt light will never turn on again and you won't get that annoying chime.

Never thought an owners manual could be funny

It says on page 108 "to reduce the risk of injury, do not deactivate/activate the beltminder feature while driving the vehicle." This followed by a nine step procedure to stop a stinking bell. Wonder if FOMOCO ever heard of an on off switch.

LMAO

Casey

Thanks again Rocks and vinnie

I've figured out the speed sensitive volume control... It doesn't exist! My '00 H-D had it but the new L' does not. What a crock of *****. I read the manual over and over to no avail. Anyone else wanna chime in on this?

Nobody's mentioned, but to use the speed sensitive volume on the stereo, just hold the volume button for a couple seconds. I figure it is the same even though the 03s have the in dash changer.
