Hey guys,

A lot of us L and other Ford people stayed at the Ramada Inn at Fairview Heights, IL. It has a TGIF connected to the hotel. Fairly nice hotel, nice big parking lot behind the hotel, they didn't call the cops on us last year with all the burnouts in the parking lot. I called today and they said that they re-modeled a lot of rooms since last year, I'm trying to get them to save us the re-modeled rooms.

I know some of us (including myself) were pissed at them for trying to raise our rate for the weekend. I called the hotel and they said we could get a group rate for 10 or more rooms while we're there and we will know up front how much it will cost per night.

I'm calling Monday to check on rates. I'm requesting all double(queen) beds non-smoking for everyone. If interested, post here, and I'll post the follow up info as I get it.

If you guys want to stay somewhere else, we can all go there.
Other hotel's to stay at, suggestions??

WFC 6 is from May 15 - 18, 2003 in St. Louis, MO. at Gateway International Raceway.

Well, I'm going, but I don't need a room. My wife has family outside St Louis, so it's like a second home to me anyhow. I haven't gottne an invirte from anyone to do a demo like I did last year so I don't know if that's gonna happen again, but I'd like to. Also, if anyone wants a Monster Box and I do get someone to give me a place to set up, you can save the shipping and if you bring a core get it all done right there. I built one last year, but I could prolly do a few if I had too. I'd really like to do a GEN 1 geartrain swap, to show what all is different between the two, but we'll see.

Won't need a room, but I'll be there this year. I don't care what else is going on I will be there this year, my sisters wedding was during last years, and I would have skipped it, but I was unfortunately in it, along with finals, rehearsal dinner, wedding... . If your going to that kind of club guys, you definately want to check out Diamond's also/instead , very very nice. Looking forward to seeing all.

I told her people would be showing up on May 15 (Thurs) thru May 19 (Mon.) Tell them what days you are staying, when you make reservations. I included Monday, in case some of us want to stay for the end. Last year, the end of the event got over around midnight Sunday.

Normal rates :
weekly ($79.00 daily double beds, 2 people) (4 people $97.00)
weekend 89.00 daily double beds, 2 people) (4 people $107.00)

Group rate, at least 10 rooms or better:

$79.00 daily during our stay, 1 - 4 people per room
Free continental breakfast included
Thursday & Sunday night stay, free Comedy club admittance..
15% on meals with room key at TGIF(connected to hotel)...
