This makes no financial sense whatsoever. Why pay $50+k for a ZO6 or $30k for an old 911 or L when you can get a crotch rocket for less than $13k that will catch most if not all vehicles.

AND to those that will say these vehicles are impound for drugs or whatever, they still have value and could be auctioned for more than he cost of a very fast crotch rocket. Small police/sherriff dept's especially need the money.
Out here in CA they (the sherriff/police) would probably get sued for using vehicles like that.

You're a POS cop.

It took me a month of calling the cops to get a broken down crashed illegally parked vehicle out of my neighborhood, but they are bothering motorists who are hurting no one driving 80mph in a 70?

BTW, I've never met a cop I liked. Slapshot sounds pretty cool, but I haven't met him.

To clue you in a bit, stupid. I am not a cop. But I am a relative of several. And your disdain with law enforcement in general, has been pretty apparent across several boards, this one the latest.

You are one of the slimey people who whine all day about how corrupt the government is, and condemn them for your inability to overcome everyday issues. You talk about how you will never need an officer to come out, because you are Mr. Badass with your concealed weapon permit, and how you carry a gun around with you. Big phuckin deal. Yeah you're a real man because you can do that. Fact is, with the attitude you carry around all day, it surprises no one that you get tickets, and harrasment from the law, you are nothing more than a "Hater". And probably deserve 100% of the the grief.

You need to wake up and get out of the dreamland you live in, and realize that there are shiity things that happen everywhere, everyday. You generalize people into the same stereotypical behavior that this country needed hundreds of years to break from. You're predjudice, and a hater. One day, you might be on the other end of that hate, and you'll have no one to blame but yourself.

I can see why they dont. What would I do if I had broken the law and there was a cop on a motorcycle tailing me? Either run him in the ditch, or jam on the brakes and let him eat my tailgate! LOL.

I wouldnt know this from experience , just something someone told me !

I don't know when I said I was MR. BADA$$. The only reason I carry a gun is because I know that police cannot protect individuals.

Here is a link to my local newspaper. The first two main stories are concerning corrupt police. One where a THP officer blows apart a little dog with his shotgun(video), and the other where a university basketball coach is caught carrying a gun on campus and wasn't taken to jail for that felony.
Where are the good cops? They must be at the donut shops.

I guess to say cops suck is too broad. How about most cops suck. I like you more since you are not a cop. How about a hug?

In my personal experience where I live, the city Police, Sheriff's Deputy's and Highway Patrol have never done anything to help me and have harrased me several times. To me police are a menace more than a benefit.

To put this in context, let me tell you a little about me. I am a white male, college grad, white collar professional, married no kids, 34 years old, clean cut, don't drink or do any drugs.

In 2001, I got pulled by a Deputy on Interstate 40 for no reason other than I was a male driving a my wifes new Mustang GT. I wasn't speeding, I wasn't doing anything "WRONG" other than being in that CAR!

I got pulled by Raleigh city cop once in my old Chevy pickup for having an inspection sticker 10 days past expiration. He verbally tore me a new one, told me I was a criminal, and held me for 25 minutes while he ran my plates. I got the phucking thing inspected the next day and the DA let me off without even a fine. I never even saw the freakin Judge because the DA dropped it in the lobby!!! Oh yeah, but that COP treated me like a murderer. I DID NOT APPRECIATE IT!

I got puled by a HW Patrolman in Raleigh because it was about 1:00 am, he was bored and decided to take a crap shot to see if I had been drinking. I am not making this up, he literally had NO reason to pull me over.

Two friends of mine have been pulled by NC HW Patrol or Raleigh City Police just for being in an area near a bar after midnight. Both time the cops thought they had just left a bar and made up a bull**** excuse for pulling them over. After scaring the **** out of them they made up new excuses and let them go after it became clear they hadn't been drinking. If you are in or around Raleigh NC, look out because these cops are out to get you.

well since this thread is already off topic guess I will share my $0.02.

Yes there are some bad cops out there, but it has been my experience that there are more good than bad. Personally I have been let off a few tickets that I deserve because the cop was cool and just let it go.

Some of the fault lays in some of the idiots making the laws, and the rest of the fault comes from those that abuse the current laws causing the cops to be tougher so things dont get out of hand.

For example, 30 years ago, getting caught for street racing was nothing more than a slap on the wrist, now you can loose your license and maybe your car. It because there are too many careless idiots causing wrecks and killing others. Its not the cops fault these people are out there, they are just trying to prevent it from happening.

Psychiatrists who study psychopaths have proven that they are attracted to police work because they love to have and abuse their power over other people. It's such a bad problem that police departments now screen applicants for psychopathic tendencies to ferret them out before they are hired. Keep these facts in mind when dealing with the police.

All of you need to understand one thing prevelant in all these police abuse cases:

WE HAVE LOST CONTROL OF OUR COUNTRY!!!!!

When acts documented such as this one (the dog case) among so many other misuses of power (Diane whipple case: Judge overruling the verdict of the jury) we, the citizens are not in charge anymore.

In fact, it's going to take more than an election to change the mess we are in now. It's going to take an entire governmental change. Everyone in now leaves, and new people are seated. That is only possible through a few means...

Our police are out of hand. First they went after the Blacks...then the immigrants...now everyone! They have concluded that it is far easier to do their job when they have carte blanche and unlimited power then when they are restrained and held accountable. Is it their fault? Yes. Are there good police? Yes. However, with power, such as they have, THERE SHOULD BE ABSOLUTELY NO SCREW UPS! from them at all. period.

Bad police suck. Are laws are worse. WE never made them WE don not enforce them. WE are supposed to be able to control who controls the criminals. WE need to get control of our localites first, and work our way up to Federal Government. And no, I'm not thinking of Shay's rebelion....

Our police do not work for us, therefore, they are against us.

i hate cops. to me, they are nothing but criminals with badges, whose salaries i was forced to help pay, who have the gall to say they are there to protect and serve me, and who end up only harassing and robbing me. it's funny how these days justice is handed out to *real* criminals (murderers, rapists, etc) with a long process and a mile of red tape. but when it comes to speeding tickets and generating a little revenue for the local or state PD, they are quick to pass judgement and even quicker to take your money without a second thought.

I agree with the orphaner. if a cop was on fire i wouldn't **** on him. i'd stomp it out.
