Very proud of my truck

Today we got slammed with about 6-7" of snow, and then truck drove beautifully.... no weight in back, and the regular tires! The only problem I encounteres was the foot snow drift in the driveway, and even then it wasn't that bad. I'll save winter tire/wheel money for mod's.

so you drove through a foot snow drift when your front valence is that low to the ground, just think about it, you are using your beutiful truck as a snow plow. I've driven my truck in the snow before as well with the regular tires, but if the snow was too high, I didn't drive it.

point taken, still makes me gring my teath though,, the number one reason I bought myself a jeep this winter.

I'm entering mine in a demolition derby the first chance I get just so I can be titled as the #1 idiot. Seriously though, it's his truck and if he wants to do the Baja 500 with it, it's his dough.

Nope, not really an idiot. It was fluffy snow that drifted on the edge of the driveway, and I am very happy with it's performance.

Thanks guys for sticking up for me... truly I am not as dumb as others.

sorry there, sometimes I jumpt to conclusions. I live out here in MI too and I swear to you guys, my truck has been vandalized, freeway debris has hit it, the front valence has been scraped on my own driveway, someone took a sidemirror off being parked in a safe spot at a bar in town, I've had the worst luck with my truck period. When I look at some of the damages wich I have yet to get taken care of (there are insurance claims out for them), It just makes me sick when I think about how hard I've tried to take good care of the truck, and how hard everyone else has tried to mess it up for me right back.

No problem. I understand your concern. I took very good care of my ld red 99 - ask the people in Florida that bought it from me. For those that have met me and seen my trucks, they will tell you how great of care I take of my truck. I as well can't stand to see other tear up Lightnings... I see so many that are dirty and have scraped valences.

Its very upsetting when every single thing that happened to my truck has been by chance, there is nothing I could have done to avoid any of it, you just go and spend 6 hours waxing it and then try to pretend any scratches or dings from freeway debris are not there until I can get it taken care

plus I dont know how they are in ohio,, but holy salt trucks out here, somtimes there is 3 inches of snow on the ground, but the 4 inches of salt stays there for weeks.

Mine absolutely sucks in the snow, we've been hit with it three times this year already including last night, but I now have 400lbs of Sakrete in the back, that made it almost drivable ??
I'm holding off from buying a winter beater and spending that money on Mods for racing season 03

I drive mine 152 miles a day to work. I know it's a long way but it's a hell of a nice ride and in the summer I pass 2 street racing areas and I pass by Lapeer drag way. I also have many chances for kills on the way in. I own 4 cars and my Lightning one of my cars is a 944 Porsche.
Sorry to here about the road problem. Hey maybe we can meet and race together one day. I live in Bridgeport but race at Lapeer or Ubly.
Peace, Suavy

Daum Suavy, I thought I held the record for daily commute in my L, @ 90 miles 'round trip. Congrats!

I guess I have a little different expectation for my L than most people. I live on a farm. On a dirt road. When it rains, there's mud. I actually hall stuff in the back of my L; most recently a load of cement block, and split firewood.

I built my house with an F150XLT 4x4. I paid $8k more for my L - why would I hold it to any less of a standard?

Work hard, play hard is my motto. After all is said and done, mine gets cleaned to showroom condition. Then I take it out and load 302s dripping with oil and coolant in the back of it

Suavy, you have 87,000 miles on your truck? I have 63,000 with chip and 4# lower pulley and I am worried about longevity. I was thinking about letting my son drive it for a couple of years. What mods do you have? Think these things can hold up to the torture we put them through for 120,000 miles?
