Just a cam and head swap can make a mean little 350. Watch out.

My 69 SS had a 396 in it . Fast car I wish I had kept and as I grew older I watched the values skyrocket on the car.
Make sure it does have a 350 in it and they are not leading you on...... My buddy had a 68RS with a built 350 motor in it and could keep up with me pretty well. Amazing what a cam, roller rockers intake and carb change can do to these old beasts.

Stock for stock you will stomp his @***. Like mentioned before, you have to watch out for the "little stuff". Putting in a cam and heads are plain simple along with an intake and carb.

Worse yet are those that run around with the 383 stroker claiming only a 350, so you gots to be careful.

I run a 406 in my 66 chevy II andto the untrained eye it looks like any smallblock. They have small block 427's that will run 9's with no NOS so watch out!!

Thanks, I bought the car in Stuart Fl. from a guy in the military who was being transferred overseas. I have the original Window sticker, build sheet and owners manal. It was restored in Georgia in '98 and driven only 2,700 miles since. Appraised 28,500.

Thats one sweet Camaro Va 01 Lightning. I talked to some of his friends today hes got a 350 for sure and he said hes just got small stuff exhaust and such. His friend said he thinks it would be a close race but got a friend that rode in his and rode in mine and he said his car is just real torquey. I think the guys having 2nd thoughts when i first got the truck he wanted to run me, but now he just shakes his head and grins when i ask him when are we going to run. I want to run something that will actually keep up with me

I am sure it will at least keep up with you. Give it a try...even if you lose it's still good fun.
