Listen, I know this doesn't belong here, but since this is the board that I am always glued to, I'll post it here.

I have had several members attempt to e-mail me using the sight's e-mail feature. unfortunately all of these e-mails have been unsuccessful because when I registered at the sight nearly two years ago (and 3 residences ago) I had a different e-mail address. when I go to user cp and try to edit my information it tells me that I can't change to my current e-mail because some other member already has it. now i know d@mn well that nobody else has my e-mail address. how can I change my e-mail address to chaynie@attbi.com ?

If you need to move this post somewhere or even delete it thats fine with me, I only posted it here because I tried contacting you guys through the e-mail contact given on the site and received no response.

also, I'm sure that this has been asked and answered before, but how come we can't search 3 letter or less words on the search engine? this is really a pain in the butt, a person can't search for things we talk about all the time such as JDM,PSP,JL,REM,LFP, transmission Pan etc.

but what about "transmission pan*"? either that doesnt work or those two words have never been posted here which I kindof doubt.

 

something must be wrong with the search function... a search for just the word transmission comes up blank... if nothing else it should find this tread.

maybe steve is working on the site or something???

 

Looks like the search engine is limited to 9 characters (transmis* works but transmiss* does not).
Well, at least it didn't work a minute ago.

don't be too surprised you got no response to your e-mail. I went through the same thing a while back. I moved and changed email accounts. I couldn't log in under my old username because I always used cookies to log in and couldn't remember my password. I have emailed 2 or 3 times and NEVER gotten a response. I had to switch usernames. I figured now I'd use my hotmail address because it's free and they won't be able to do it again to me. I wish they could take the 10 seconds it would take to respond to thier loyal users. I guess thier too busy erasing or moving posts.

Steve and I are both in Detroit and away from PC's all day. If you read the FAQ and the rules STeve is clear that those kinds of changes are not enabled here..

He responds to the emails he can of the hundreds he gets a day....

So your saying you've been in Detroit for a year now and away from your PC's. JK It's no big deal now but at the time I didn't want to lose my post count ( yeah I know whopdy frickin doo). I only used the attitude because of the numerous messages I have sent and got no response, and I knew putting it front of everyone would atleast warrent a comment, even it was rude.

 

Wow, that is REALLY strange. no sarcasm here either. my screen name is superfords and I do now own a Sonicblue lightning, but unless I was in a drunken stupor (somewhat possible) I never registered that screen name. and if not then how in the world could somebody else have the same e-mail address as me? wouldn't I get their mail and vice versa?
