Whats wrong with my truck!!!

Man I dont know what happened this morning, well here it goes I was leaving home and traveled about two blocks. After the first stops sign I saw an open path so I decided to get on it, floored did some wheel spinning(more than usual but I think that is because I recently took off the hitch), when the tranny changed too second, it felt odd so I let off, at the second stop sign at a complete stop I felt the truck shaking(I started thinking oh man now I messed something up), but it went away when I shifted to neutral. What do you guys think it could be? I think its the tranny, but i am no expert. Maybe some of you tranny experts could tell me what you think it was. Took it to the dealership, but the "tranny guy " was not in so I told them go ahead and just check the motor anyway. They said they found nothing wrong with the motor. I plamn on taking it Monday back to the dealership but thought I would ask you guys first. Sorry so long. Thanx in advance(RED1)

I'm no trans(or anything else) expert but I don't think it's the trans. My first thought was a blown/loose spark plug but you said the shaking went away when you put it into neutral? I still think it's a plug................ and the tech didn't check or catch it.

Anyway, this will take you back to the top .

Tell me a little about the truck. If it's a 2001, look at the ID tag on the tranny and tell me if it's a 1J or a 5X. How is second gear now? And try to Manual shift to second gear and see if it's different from the A 1-2 shift.

I had a very similar situation happen with my 2002 "L".
Only mine didn't straighten up so easily and kept running rough.
I suspected the plugs at first, I am running Denso IT-20s and have about 3K miles on them. Fearing a loose or burned plug I took them out for a look see. Plugs looked great, no evidence of detonation and all were still tight in the threads and had maintained a .038 gap.
Thinking that I may have set a code, either hard or soft, I disconnected the negative battery terminal and turned on the lights to drain any residual power from the ECM. I felt that even though the SES light had stayed off a code might have been set.
Upon reconnecting the battery cable, starting the truck and allowing the ECM to re- learn its settings the rough idle and strange acting miss went away as fast as it came.
