before and after lowering photos?

just wanting to see some before and after shots. I have the beltech kit with stock hangers in the back, brought the back up some but i've kinda forgot how high stock was. Is there anything else i can do besides go completely back to stock in the rear to raise it a little, I LOVE the way the front sits, i just want more of a sporty truck look instead of a lowered truck look.

when i put my 3/4 kit on it was to low in the back so u can put on the stock shackles with the new hangers, in theory i would think it would be a 3/2 drop or a 2/2 drop on an L since the front is already droped 1" from ford but sitting next to a L with just the 2" shackles on the back of my truck sat lower..

stock

3/4

3/2 (with stock shackles but belltech hangers)

cant really see a big diff in the pics of the back but its there, it bottomed out more on the full 3/4 and the back looked lower than the front..

With the 3/4 drops, how much closer to the ground is the actual bumper?

My cars already slammed, and its a b*tch to drive sometimes in Jersey, dont wanna have the same problem with the L.

thanks

The only real problem with dropping over 2 inches is the rear axle. You just need more room for the axle to travel in the rear. If you have a c-notch, then you will have no real problems driving around town. The bottom of the truck will still be 6 or more inches off the ground, so it isn't like you will get stuck anywhere.

I have the Belltech it and aside from the axle issue, I don't notice any problems what so ever driving around.

stock front, 2" shackles in rear

2"spring in front, 3" in rear

Here is a 3/4 view which shows my 3/4 Beltech/Western Chassis drop with rear shackles in the 2nd hole from the top when installed. ( To raise the rear up about a 1/2 inch) It still has a slight rake to the front as you can see by the pic.

I will post a pic tomorrow in the light, and
it will shock you.

The test drive was awesome ... cornered much
better than the stock setup. Now I think I'm
ready for those twisties.

Oh yeah ... No drilling, sanding, welding or
other things were needed. Maybe that's
because going back to the people that
designed the truck is a pretty good bet?

And for those of you that KNOW me, I did
it all myself, which amazed me even more !!!

Update ... I re-used the old front bump stops
on the rears and moved the shackles up to the
second hole New Years day ... Now it rides without
the bone jarring when the rear frame bottomed on
severe bumps.
