I've never actually seen a truck make those numbers either; but, I've seen dynos # that were close to them with nitrous. The hp and torque numbers were quite a bit further apart. Maybe I'm remembering wrong. I guess I could have just dreamed it.
I'm not trying call Poo-Poo or anything. 'Just trying to understand.

Could you explain what the difference is between the rods in an 01 and later truck?? I was not aware of this. Thanks
The 01-up rods seem to be weaker than then the 99-00s. Most 99-00s have been known to handle over 500rwhp. Most 01-up are junk at 450rwhp, and some have even broke at much lower power levels.
My speculation on this is that Ford may have went to another vendor to make their rods for 01. There is no proof of this, it's just my own guess. The main reason is that it's not just the Lightnings. Talking with fellow Autologic Mustang tuners, it seems the 01-up GTs have the same issue.

Those who attend might get a sneak preview of a new Lightning part.

Already saw it Dyno day, remember?
Works Blowers!!!!!
I was told...and maybe this is igniting something here, that with the rear entry works blower problems are caused when installing and removing spark plugs.
I was told this by someone testing the works blower on his truck.
With this at mind, I know and most true racers know at the trace you pull plugs between passes and see how they are burning.
How is this possible with a works set up? With a Kenne Bell its as normal, Even with a 5.4 DOHC Cammer under hood!
My 3300 series Kenne Bell is fantastic, havn't lost one yet and fixing to install one on my 02 True Blue.
I didn't want ti ignite something here, but closure would be good, "SPARK PLUG WISE"

ok, ok, ok
I did not read into to, and the one test blower on my friends truck, up to a week ago had no mention to any revisions at this point. Mainly used for street racing,,,,,,,,no the avid racer who pulls spark plugs between rounds.
We tried on the #4 and Yes it can be done, but you'll be doing this while pushing your truck into the staging lanes because of the time, and it its hot, don't think about wearing gloves, its more of a bare handed, touch and feel process.
Sal, Thanks for the updates....I'm just seeing what everybody else thinks. It is a great set-up, even more so than the KB, but its a doggy, dog world.
Happy New Year ALL!
