Good luck!

So why do you keep the ign. key away from the ign. sw.????? Will the key not work if you do have it near the ign. switch when your done?

You cannot "fry" a computer by having the wrong chip in it. The truck simply will not start. You can fry the computer is you try installing the chip with the key on. Ho

The above quote is from Sal back in June of 2001. There may be other reasons too? Just giving a 'heads-up'--keep your key away from the ign. sw.(I drop mine in the cupholder on the console) when 'messin' with the PCM or when disconnecting the battery.

That's where I want my switch, but it's going to have to wait until it gets warmer, above 30 degrees for the high. Other than that though the chip is in and the truck seems to love it .
Thanx for all the help,
Bill
