After 1090 miles, one fog light bulb burned out in my 02. I am heading to the dealer at lunch, but I was curious how hard it was to change just the bulb. Do the lens covers come off like the old glass style did? I replaced bulbs in my '99 constantly, and I had that process down pretty good.

 

Thats a good question.
But I NEVER have changed a bulb in my 01, I crack the lens before the bulb blows. Thrid replacement set and one is cracked now.
On my 99, I went thru three sets of bulbs and only cracked the lens once

 

Well that was easy. The bulb pops in from the back just like it does on the headlight - two minute job.

 

difference is you just reach around under the fender to the backside of the fog lamp and unclip the bulb and wiring and pull it out (you don't pull the whole assembly like the headlight)

 

Be careful what type of bulbs you put in. I put some superwhites in mine and it turned my reflector housing of the fog lights a dark brown color. I think it was too high of a wattage.
