stock for stock i dont think so - my camaro has a filter and exhaust, and dynoed 304.9 hp, and 318.6 ft/lbs, and i consistantly run 12.9-13.1s in tucson and phoenix. however, a lightning with even the slightest mods will beat an ss, especially if the driver of the camaro doesn't know how to drive.

Stock for stock especially in areas with high humidity and warm weather, I'm sure the SS will win. As for the TA, I think if you check most listings, the TA normally runs slower than the SS due to more weight even though the engines and drivetrain are the same.

Detail, whats with the comment about the driver? Are you a racist ***? Enquiring minds want to know?

I blew away a Fire Hawk 3 times from a roll a few weeks ago.
We went from a 30mph roll to maybe over a hundred 3 times.
It was night time and 21 degrees out, and I have balding F-1's.
THEN WE HIT A LIGHT AND RACED FROM A DEAD STOP

He was a good 1/16th of a mile away before I moved 1 inch,
I just got off it and started Laughing saying this punk thinks he beat a Lightning (SOB DID I GUESS).

I've been driving around with my slicks on ever since trying to find that little bastard

Speaking from experience...Stock for stock + equally talented drivers = SS will most likely win each time. Same holds true for T/As and Hawks.

If you want to start an interesting sh#t storm, go to www.ls1.com and ask in the 1/4 mile times forum. There are a lot of very informed people there, but there are also a LOT of immature post ****** (hence the sh#t storm reference). Either way, you'll get a lot of input.

See ya'

yeah I wouldn't even waste your time cause if you think the F150 forums are harsh you have no clue what awaits you over there. There moderators don't care to much about the content of the site.

You guys are right about ls1.com. I've been there since Dec '98 when I ordered my '99 SS. There were a LOT less kids there when I registered and started posting. Nowadays it's more like the wild wild west than an enthusiest forum. Nonetheless, you can still get some good input from decent people there. Sad thing is you need to weed through a lot of crap to find it.

See ya'
