Sounds about right. My 01 stock was 361/431.
I guess they have not done much to the motor in a while.

Hello everyone,

The truck has 172 miles on it. I wanted to get some base numbers to work with before I start modding. I am hopping to run some 1/4 mile runs with it next week end.

I'm thinking I'll start the mods at around 1000 miles and plan on getting another dyno just before then to see if she picks up some umph due to break in. Then each mod will get dynoed in succession to see what each does for me.

On the tune, yes, I plan on chipping it. I feel pretty good about Mike T at performance. He has worked with me on my Lariat, and we have a pretty good working relationship.

That's awesome, I think after 1000 miles on it you should be able to notice an slight increase in hp. I was thinking the numbers would be a little better for the 03's with the lighter wheels, but I dont think they are that much lighter. Anyway, I would be thrilled with over 350 to the rear wheels!!

Hey Sean,

How's the new L treating you... . I weighed my front wheel after I lost the tire at the 2nd day I had it. It weighed the same as the 1999-2002. A friend of mine had weighed his tire on his 99 and it was the same.

By the way...the flat tire was my bad luck. Found a nail hole just at the edge of the tread. At least I don't have to worry about some strange factory defect.

One more question. Do you plan on dropping the truck. My rear end is so high, I have to carry oxygen with me when I get in the bed of my truck...LOL. I am planning on the 2/4 drop...it really needs it.

What are your thoughts on this?

Hey Chuck,

Welcome to the forums. The 01-02 is the same as the 03, no changes in the engine.
