FYI - Check Your Rear Window Molding
This has probably come up before (most likely on the other F150 discussion areas), but you may want to inspect the rubber foam molding that serves as the seal between the rear window and the back of the cab. Other forum members claimed theirs leaked water but I think I caught mine early enough. It just whistled and buzzed at highway speeds, so I took it in to the dealer and they were able to reproduce it pretty easily. Turns out to be a common problem, and they insalled a revised seal with an outer lip that completely covers the edge of the window frame - a much more secure design. So far no air leaks at speed, and seems watertight too. So check your own window out if it starts to buzz or whistle (Bassani owners may have difficulty!

Well mines been replaced 3 times so far, and still looks like ShTT. Moulding does not fit in correctly, and seal is squished. Turns out the water leak on mine was rear of cab seam was split and leaking. They had to pull bed and all the other stuff and weld/reseal it =/

I'm having the same problem..Mines looks very tacky but I don't recall of any air/water leaks. I'm just gonna leave it until it does leak..Seems when you try to take something to the dealer and they fix it, it gets worse somehow...
My 99 leaked and so did my 01. Both in the same place- just an inch or so to the right of the drivers head. I'd see a small water stream everytime I'd wash the trucks. When we did the roll cage in in 01, I found out why they leak there. The black plastic "frame" that you see around the rear window has a peg at that spot that slips into a hole in the cab. I assume it's just to locate the part. But there is nothing to seal the peg in the hole. If water gets past that crappy window seal, it just pours through the peg hole. Just

the seal on my 00HD was popping out in places, and falling in at other places. wasn't leaking, but looked like crap up close, so i figured get it replaced before it does start leaking. anyway, they updated the seal design for 2002's, and they put the new style on my truck. looks alot better than the old type too

I don't think mine leaks but it does look like crap! My sliding rear window rattles a lot. It sucks cause I have to deal with it or take all my "mods" off to get it fixed. HaHa get black listed for a sh*tty rear window. LoL. -Mat-
My first vehicle was a 88 Chev reg cab. One day got into shut the door was raining out the window was leaking as usual, closed the door the cab pressure was too great and then, Presto window seal gave and it slid down between the box and cab and Busted. Truck was a Piece anyways.
I just had my rear window replaced under warranty and they used the same seal with the new window. It buldges out and looks just like the picture of Harley's old seal.
Should i just live with it or ask for the new seal?

if it looks like my old seal, then ask for the new updated version. if you have to, take them over to a 02 or 03 truck on the lot and show them what the updated seal looks like.
odds are the old style seal will only get worse with time. when my truck was new the seal wasn't that wacky.
a little bit of a hassle now, but you won't have to worry about it after warranty
