the blower whine sounds like the L but the exhaust is different... what muffler is stock for the 03 Cobra?

do the stock 03s have bassani x pipes? or was that only the 00 cobra R? i know the entire exhaust isnt bassani on the 03 cobras since a lot of owners are swapping bassani exhausts....

 

No stock Bassani anything on the 03 (although it would be nice). I can't here the vid at work but mine is still stock and is realitivly quiet. Definetly louder than my Lightning when it was stock, though.

 

Well there is no X-pipe on the 03 Cobra exhaust that is laying on my shop floor. Just two "turbo" type mufflers. Biggest difference in the tone comes from the 4v heads.

Bassani X-pipe added and no cats just a slight improvement in performance and nice clean sound.

What is interesting on the "03" Cobra is the Japanese tuning code mufflers that were used. They not only killed the sound but the performance too.
Wish to keep your vehicle equiped with all Ford parts then the Bullitt tuning code muffler is the way to go. Just be prepared to do some exhaust work. Now with a good ear or maybe wishful thinking you may be able to tell that the "03" Cobra is running "Nav" cams.
