Its true..
My lightning is paid for and running in the low 12's...
it has 50k miles on it.
I am smart enough to know it wont be reliably taking me to work forever.
I like trucks. So long as the towing capacity is decent it wouldnt be a bad idea.
BUT there is no way in heck I am paying $50k for it...

Since the daily driver will mean a payment again.. Argh... Its been near 8 years since the last one... $50k is too high....

This article says $30k and 13 sec

Doug if its in the 30's low to mid and it runs high elevens or low twelves.. I will have one.. But that does not mean getting rid of either one of my lightnings.. If it is 50k then no .. Not gonna give 50k for a truck at this time........

SRT-10 will offer only rear-wheel drive and arrive in late fall '03 with a $30,000 price tag.

Checked out the link and searched google.. Found NO reference to towing capacity.. Hmmm.. Most trucks mention it at least in passing... Maybe even a reference to " it'll tow a viper as long as the tralier is less than 100 lbs or something "

One thing it will never have:

The L is my first Ford. Although I have been a racing fan all my life, I never really appreciated the rich history and tradition of Ford Racing. Proud to be a member of the club.

To those of you that are going to pony up the cash for a SRT/10,( ? $50k, ?$60K, $?K) more power to ya. This is obviously not directed toward you. If it's $30k - more power to me

BUT for those of you that are going to live vicariously threw those lucky individuals, get a life .....or I suppose more importantly GET A LOAN, a big one and go and buy one. That way you can talk ***** about YOUR Dodge and not about someone elses vehicle. Pony up or shut up.
You don't hear all the TRUE BLUE guys talkin' ***** about how fast the new GT is going to be. How it is going to kick the crap out of the Viper, the 911 GT2, etc.(maybe it will, mayybe it won't - ONLY time will tell)......It's time to put up or shut up.

Was this based on something in this thread ? Or just a general rant against another SRT10 vs Lightning thread
