Any news about the 2005 Lightning

Does anyone know when the new lightning will be produced and will it still have the DOHC 5.4 SC motor like the concept?

The word on the 2005 Lightning is......................... That there will be no 2005 Lightning

The 3rd gen in said to be coming out during model year 06.

This is the last year for the SVT Focus. There will be no SVT's at all for the '05 Model year. The new L is supposed to be out in '06, but no official word on engine or pricing. Have heard it will be buckets with flow through console and possibly a 6-speed manual. It's hard to say what's going to happen at SVT with the advent of the new ST line of cars from Ford. Example, there will be an ST model of the Focus and no SVT. It's going to be exciting I'm sure.

SVT Vehicles

Hi Certified SVT Tech here and per the classroom training there will be NO 05 SVT's there moving some of the assy plants and also as stated above the Focus platform changed as did the mustang anf F150 so with redesine and retooling there will be a 18 month gap in production. They are however doing a push on production of 04 models as of the first of this year to build up dealer stock for the dry spell, so if you want one or a new one you better get it now or take what's left

1.5 years to go then! Woohoo can't wait.
I hope they put in a high quality 3rd party audio system specificly designed for our trucks.

Kind of a contract out to ROckford or Alpine or something. Include all 3rd party audio products i nthe truck as maybe an addition package.

Would save everyone a lot of time and moeny and retain warrenty

Had to sell the '99 in '01... WAITIN' to order a white '06. Heard that they'll be in the area of 37-39 large. Haven't been here in a long time; anyone here from the '99 era?

I can't wait until the new one comes out. I am already getting tired of the new Dodge commercials saying that THEY have the fastest production truck. Can't believe Ford let that happen. I hope the new Lightning blows that Dodge away!
