Met the other guy

A couple of weeks ago I noticed that my truck's twin had disappeared from the local Ford dealer. I saw it parked at a local business today and parked next to it, and as I was going out to mine he was getting into his. 20 minutes later, I think that I sold a color-matched bedliner and a snuglid for the truck customizing shop.
Nice guy, didn't seem like the computer type, so i didn't tell him about this site. Should have anyway.
I had the only one in town, but I'm glad the other owner seems to appreciate his truck as much as I do.

Bronco,

The father of a classmate at my Son's daycare has a KR, Chestnut no less and he won't even look my way or speak. I've attempted to make conversation with him on occasion and he just doesn't seem the type that would carry on with us so I just didn't pursue either. However, like you said, I probably should've.

Actually, I saw another KR owner the other day in my area at a Stickey Fingers Restaurant parking lot and his was Charcoal blue, 4x4 and looked great. However, when I went in the establishment, I didn't think it'd be to cool to hollar out "who owns the blue KR outside?" so I didn't. As I was sitting and eating my lunch, I saw the truck leave and pull up to the traffic light as I could see the guy from the window that I was near and I wanted to wave but then again I just didn't think it was appropriate.

Now, if Skagel would've been there, she would've found the owner and would've known the last time the guy cleaned his truck before she ordered her food. Now that's dedication to the KR cause...or is it something else???

Later,

~DM~

Maybe he's like some of those Lightning boys. "Day-gum it, I bought me a $29,000 mass produced domestic truck that I'm gunna keep for 20 years and watch its value appreciate because it's limited special collector's edition but some dude across on the next rural route over bought hisself one too and I don't feel so special in my $29,000 mass produced domestic truck anymore." And forgetaboutit when Ford put their super special engine in Harleys. Some of them were actually angry.

I saw maybe 4 KR on the road sice I got mine. One in Estate Green supercrew (don't know '01 or '02) waved at me and I didn't get close to a couple to see either way, but one just ignored me.

Chaean,

I had no idea you were a KR owner. I would like to gather some info from you if possible. Do you mind sending me some info on you and your truck? Please read the King Ranch Truck Owners thread.

Thanks

I've noticed this phenomenon. There's a guy in my subdivision with an '01 KR S'crew. I drove by in my new '02 S'cab and waved while he was out front washing his, and he couldn't have looked more smug and indifferent. Guess he resents not being the only kid on the block with a KR toy.
