alarm systems/remote starters

Hey guys/gals...

I'm going to put in a top of the line alarm/remote starter into my new truck. I'm thinking about the Viper 550 ESP. Anyone have this one in their truck? Is there anything else that this system does better than any other? What is so special about Clifford's? Are they better, or what?

This one is out of my league of knowledge but, I know there are some regular gurus that know this stuff inside and out in some of the audio forums. I'd try posting there. I'm not sure that any of us have alarms/remote starters (dufunnel might...not sure).

Good luck.

I don't have an alarm (yet!) but I do have a remote starter.

I've got the Viper 551T. Don't know how I got along without it.

I have the Hornet 553T which I think is the same as the Viper top of the line (same manufacturer, different name). I love mine. I haven't used the factory key fobs since I bought the truck.
