I think the fender emblems would be WAY to big unless you had like a 12" bugguard

I was just saying that it would be cool if ford offered colored matched or trim color matched bugguards and if they had a like little 1 and 1/2 inch chrome KR logo embedded in the bugguard. If you look closely at this pic, you can see the HD emblem that is embedded in my bugguard that i got from ford for 80 dollars. Fits and looks great! I'll try to get a closer up pic 2morrow so you can see better.

Seems like you KR guys got the short end of the stick. Not much KR accessories or goodies. No KR shirts, no KR 1/18th scale models. Nada

Cool

You can really see how the bug shields work if you drive in any falling snow. Its pretty dramitic to see how the air is deflected upward. I have a white F150 with the dark smoke bug shield and it looks great along with the smoked window guards. Just a matter of taste, it sure would be boring if we all had the same taste. Except for liking F-150s of course.

well, i am in sunny south florida, and we dont have any trouble with snow, but we have some really, really heavy downpours of rain, but it is so variant (the rain), i dont think the bug deflector would do anything. and harley, i think you are absolutely right about the embedded emblem...if ford decides to come out with a king ranch colormatched bug deflector, i'll be first in line at the dealer!!

Yeah, that's why I was asking which emblems you were talking about. The fender badge would be ENTIRELY too big. Heck, I have one on my tailgage.... it's big enough there....

I'm looking for Ford to start making a few KR/F150 goodies with the continuance of the KR line in SCREW and s/cab. Also, with the two new colors for 2003....

Maybe we'll finally get some goodies like the HD guys have...

I have the same one as MikeF150. Painted mine myself too.

I have been saved from rocks with it, so I am glad I got it.

Three of them on ebay as we speak... they close VERY soon though...

You'll notice that reserve hasn't been met on any of them... I will tell you that this guy holds his reserve around $30 so, if you want them, it's just as smart to choose 'BUY IT NOW'.

I got my badge from this guy. Good service. Quick shipment.

Just a suggestion, but I would make sure you order the tailgate bade for it is thinner the the fender badge.

Just my exoerience with the bug sheild on the KR.

I haven't noticed any big difference on gas milage. My wife get's about 17-18mpg with mostly expressway driving. I know the old style deflectors that were flat and straight up did kill gas milage. Most of the new ones are shaped now. It does help with the bugs, particularly here in Central FL. Those darn love bug are killers on paint. I got zapped on my expi. Was my own darn fault for not getting them off within 24 hours, but grrrrrr anyway. If I would have had the sheild on then it would have saved all the etch marks on the hood at least. They do seem to deflect quite a few bugs. Particularly if you are driving at highway speeds. The real test is when Love Bug season rolls around again.

As far as the winsheild wipers and the spray I don't see any difference. I have the defletors on the KR and the Expi now. I have started using Rain-X, on a side note, and that does make a big difference even though it doesn't seem to last very long.

I like the painted deflectors some of you have. I like the standard black too. Anyway, my $.02

I have the stainless steel one myself. matches up with my brush guard.....not sure how well it deflects the bugs, but I have yet to find a dead one on my hood....plenty on the windshield though.
