Wheel cleaning question

What is everyone using on their KR wheels and center hubs to keep them clean, shiny, protected.
I do not want to use the wrong stuff and damage the wheels and hubs (hub covers).
Thanks

About 5-10 minutes per wheel of hardcore elbow grease. Those rascals are a booger to get clean.

On the center caps, once they are dry, a very soft, very clean and dry terry cloth polishes them to my desired luster. Nothing fancy... just good ole fashioned work.

I'm still a die-hard when it comes to armor all on the tires though... it's always provided the luster that I want. I hate that silicone stuff... it's attracts brake dust and road grime like a magnet.

Just my $0.02

I used a soft nylon bristle brush the first time with soap and water, then I used a couple coats of Zaino on them. Now I just have to wipe them down with a dry cloth every time I wash and they look great all the time.

It has been a month and a half since I put Zaino on them and here is what they look like after I wash my truck

Believe or not, Turtle Wax Tire Wax is great stuff....lasts....won't sling onto your fenders.....looks good....easy to use. The Lightning guys even like it and you know how fussy they are.

Hey Lent.

Zaino is supposed to be a really great wax.
check their site www.zainobros.com or in the section about general care. I'll probably try it over the summer. From what I see It takes a good amount of time to do the entire process but is worth the effort.

Hey Golfer71--where did you buy your truck? I bought mine from what used to be Bountiful Ford (Willey Ford) and someone was test driving the only Estate Green KR. My wife and I were planning on buying a Charcoal Blue KR but the more I looked at the paint the less I liked it. They guy test driving the green one didn't come back to the lot the whole time we were there. Was that you? We ended up driving to American Fork to pick up the one I bought from Bountiful.
Just Curious.

BroncoDave-

I bought mine at what used to be called Murray Ford. It is now called LaPoint Ford. I also wanted the Blue, but I could not find any that had the rear bench in them and did not want to wait 12 weeks to order one. The more I look at mine, the more I love it.

Lenny -

Zaino is a car polish that has zero abrasives in it. It is the best wax or polish I have ever used on a vehicle. It is a time consuming process, but it lasts twice as long as anything else I have used. The more coats the deeper the paint looks. after 5 coats, it looks like I can actually reach into my fender. very easy to apply and remove. The reason it works so good on the wheels, is that the heat doesn't break it down like it does wax.

I'm interested in learning more about this ZAINO stuff. Anyone know of a website? I've always been a DIE HARD Mequires fan but, this stuff has a lot of people's attention and thus, it's got mine.

Thanks dufunnel. I used Meguiars this past weekend and still don't think they charge enough money for the stuff. It's worth every penny that I pay for it -- a little over $20 bottle. I'm still willing to give this stuff a try... looks pretty expensive though.
