Woo Hoo! That's more like it.

Well, as I cruise these boards one of the most common gripes I hear is about poor gas mileage in the Triton V8. Just got back from filling 'er up and washing her and this last tank averaged out to 15.5 mpg from a dismal low of 12.9 after my second tank. That's about 1/2 highway and half city miles. I guess after our trip to Houston something broke-in like it should have.

What is everyone else getting here...besides a hard time from RockPick?

Argh. I guess I have a target painted on my back now?... I'll just go into hibernation for a while...

Heck, you all never seem to notice me when I'm here anyways...

Hey KRA,

I get about 12.5 to 13 MPG and that's primarily city driving and I've only been on one trip and the mileage was around 14.5 to 15 and that's not all that impressive but I understand that it takes a lot of power to move a 4x4 Super Crew down the road and so I just shrug my shoulders and grin and bear it.

Hey Rock,

Don't cry, for what it's worth, I still like you and I always pay attention to you, I just don't always respond.

Later,
~DM~

I get about 16-17 most of time. mine is only a 4x2 however. Checked yesterday when I filled up and i got 18. But of course that tank I was driving for work and took my time getting to places. I didn't see a need to rush it was the companys time

I typically get right around 15... however, I have managed about 19.5 on a trip to see the 'in-laws'....and yes, mine's a 4X2 with a 5.4 as well... not as much weight.

I take it you all are just doing a calculation on figuring out your gas mileage?

I average about 13-14 myself, but I have a K&N and of course I am one of those "crazy women drivers" course it also takes me well over a week to burn through a tank of gas with how often I can drive Tomas.

I just filled up yesterday. It came to about 13.75 mpg. That was about 50/50 city/highway. We got as high as 17mpg once all highway on a trip. I have the 5.4 4x4 ls KR. We have about 5500 miles on the clock.

I could raise my mpg if I would keep it below 80. Have a hard time keeping thre 5.4 below that for some reason. I drive 40 miles in to work every day and then my horrible job requires me to use my truck for them too alot of times. So I have had it a year and have almost 29,000 miles on my truck.

Just past 5K too, but have only owned it since mid Jan, '02. Got to schedule that oil change now to keep the warranty going.
