Unhappy Warranty Issues

Who's had to take their truck in on warranty issues?

Here's the list I plan on taking when I take my truck down.

1. The striping down the side of my truck. All I can say is the guy or gal that put it on the day mine was built must have been hungover or stoned. Pretty sad job.

2. Rear glass. Yes, I've had two EVER SO TINY LEAKS. (this has been reported by SEVERAL SCREWers with sliding back glass). I'm hoping I can con the dealership into knocking off the price for the backglass on the installation of a power slider. (hey, it's wishful thinking).

3. The thunk. Still kinda waiting to see what everyone finds out on this one before I make it a huge issue. Mine's definately still 'thunking' on occasion but, I don't want them going in on a 'search and rescue' mission until it starts happening more frequently.

4. That damn latch on the back of the drivers seat that holds the leather in place. Grrr. Nuff said. I've gotten DAMN GOOD at fixing it though. Lots of experience on this...

5. TBA

rockpick,

the only issues i currently have are the thunk/shudder while pulling up to or away from a stop. also, my limited slip rearend is starting to vibrate/hop when i start from a stop while turned. the guys at the factory prolly just forgot the friction modifier...?

i should be able to get her in next week and have that stuff checked...i'll report back.

I actually have hop and spin on my LS axle when accelerating on a turn...while going up hill. On a flat surface it seems fine.

I've had mine back to replace a pinion seal on the transfer case. Leaked tranny fluid like crazy. Has been flawless otherwise, but I'm going to keep an eye on the rear window seal.

Hop and spin? You mean your truck bucs like a bronc? That isn't normal is it?

I have limited slip and I've never noticed anything like that with mine.

Hop Spin...the house boy on "Bonanza".

There is an extreme hill going out of my neighborhood and I have to turn right from a stop to get on to the hill, so I figure it's probably not that abnormal (Abby Normal, the brain used by Gene Wilder in Young Frankenstein). Besides, it's very slight so it doesn't seem like that big of a deal.
