KR Companion

Well, we bought the complement to the KR today. Dark Highland Green Ford Escape. V6, power stuff, nice ride. My wife is very happy with it. Looks good next to the Screw, also, the paint scemes almost match.
We considered buying an exact match to mine, a estate green KR Screw appeared on the local used car dealers lot. Mine was the only one like it in town, I wanted to buy that one just to have a local monopoly. I guess you can't keep a good thing to yourself forever!

Hey Bronco,

Congrats on the purchase, lets see some pics please. What's cooking in your neck of the woods these days?

Congrats Bronco. We almost bought one for my wife. She decided she was going to go for the gas mileage rather than the 'looks' though.... (personally, I wish we'd got the Escape). I won't tell you what she ended **cough 2002 Honda cough** up *cough Accord cough cough** with. It's a vehicle that might be looked down upon on this board.

Thanks for the kind words, I got a new camera (on EBay, fo course) and will need to use up a roll of film before our trip to the islands. I'll post some pics of the two. We also looked at the Ford Focus, but felt that we would outgrow it.
Thanks for asking Daveman, things are well here, it's not spring yet. 50-55 degrees. Going fishing on the river this afternoon. Catchum big cutthroat trout!!

I think the escape was, by far and away, the better of the two choices (Focus or Escape). I read an article recently that named the Ford Focus as the least reliable car for 2001. It's been plauged with recalls and bad publicity over the past year and, in turn, I think Ford is paying for alot of warranty issues.

Bad publicity or not, the Focus continues to sell on the market at amazing speeds. Few vehicles in it's class can compete. Personally, I hope that Ford re'focuses' on quality as job #1. We've all seen numerous posts and issues concerning Ford which ultimately drives the overall value of all Fords, in general, lower.... Toyota recently announced that they planned on being the #1 selling manufacturer in the United States by 2005....

Ford, you've got your work cut out for you. Rise to the occasion and hang on to, and grow, the market share that you have...
