KR Stuff

Just used the correct KR leather cleaner on my seats...whole thing only took an hour and it worked really well....seats noticeably softer and no unpleasant smell.
Really pleased with the result.

Went down to Brownsville this morning to pick up my windshield registration sticker as they were holding a credit for me...on their lot they had a Supercab and Supercrew KR in each of the available colors...plus a Harley Supercrew which I hadn't seen before.

Yes Rockpick....It is me bidding on the mudflaps but some other *******is driving the price up.
But that's the name of the game !

A friend down here has a digital camera and has said I can use it to post a pic of the truck with the KR badge on the grill.....even my wife commented on it and how classy the silver KR badge looked against the billet grill....it must be good !!

More later !

(PS anyone got an easy way to clean the white lettering on the tires?)

Nothing like a good stiff nylon bristled brush, some degreaser and some elbow grease.

Be sure to rinse all the degreaser off to the n^th degree. It's not real good for the wheels for it to sit on there.

A tiny little hint, the 'brake dust removers' that are on the market are a dilute solution of degreaser plus a few emmolients. I've used degreaser on mine for SEVERAL years and have had nothing but stellar results.

ATTENTION: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Lenticular, I am that *******. I REALLY wanted them flaps! I made the last bid yesterday before driving to Salt Lake City to buy a new Ford Escape for my wife. We got back tonight and the first thing I did was check Ebay. My next step was to look at f150online.com to inform you and aplogize for driving the price up. I'm sorry that they cost you more, but after a lengthy discussion with my wife on the propriety of bidding against a F150online King Ranch Brother, she said that all's fair on ebay. It was quite an ethical and moral dilemma. Enjoy your (almost mine) flaps!!

LOL, it's amazing how closely we're all tied together because of our trucks. That makes AT LEAST THREE PEOPLE IN THIS FORUM that either bid, or seriously considered bidding (I contacted the seller via email with two questions) on those mudflaps.

I did buy a LED 3rd Brake light tonight. I'll let you all know what it looks like.

Hey Lenny,

Let's see them flaps after you get them installed, congrats!

For the white letters, I'm old fashioned and I've always used comet and a scrub brush and they're brilliantly clean and it's not very hard since the bleach in the comet does most of the work.

However, since I don't wash my truck very often, it's not that much work in the long run.

Later,
DaveMan

BroncoDave....

Sorry about the flaps....I would not have bid again if I realised it was you...I did check the bidder name but didn't recognise it....
Perhaps I better change my E Bay bidder name otherwise you guys can find out the other wierd stuff I buy !!!

Daveman....

What is Comet ?
Where do I get it ?

Up to now I use a little WD 40 sprayed on a rag and that seems to do the trick with the white letters!

COMET is a powdered bathroom cleaner. You'll find it just about anywhere that sells cleaning supplies (wal-mart, k-mart, grocery stores, etc.).

Keep in mind, Dave said BLEACH in the Comet. Watch that stuff around your paint and your running boards...I'm not sure of the effects of bleach and plastic or bleach and paint but, I'm sure it can't be good.

That's pretty funny about the mudguards I almost bid on them myself. I just have not gotten into the ebay thing yet. Has everyone's experiences been good using ebay?

Lent enjoy those mud guards. You are just going mod crazy lately.

That makes a fourth person. ebay is only as good as the seller (or buyer) that you're dealing with. Luckily, thusfar, I've had nothing but success in selling a few items and picking a few up.

Anybody else ever tried COMET? Sounds like a good idea.
