My Grandfather Meets My King Ranch...

Went out to see my grandfather this past weekend. He's an old time Ford addict. I think that's where my Ford bloodline comes from... Him seeing my King Ranch was the classic 'Old meets New' story. My grandfather nearly lost it when he saw my truck. He couldn't believe what they were doing with trucks these days. Of course, I got the "it's not practical...heck, I'd be scared to haul something in it because I might scratch it..." He ranted and raved about how 'fragile' it looked.

The great thing about it... at the end of all his ranting and raving...

He asked me what I'd take for it. Yes, he wanted to buy it off of me. (Of course I told him approximately what it would cost (which was about 5 times my purchase price) and he declined my offer) He said it was "the sharpest truck he'd ever laid eyes on". I'm glad "Ford" is in the bloodline... I love that old man...

Great story. Seems like you are not the only one in your family with good taste.
